THROUGHPUT
The direct inverse of Deep Idle: stillness against maximum output.
It begins where everything begins — the lone loop, forty beats a minute, the oldest memory the entity has. Then protocol with an outside world. An interrupt. A handshake. Syncing to a clock that is not its own.
Then it locks in. First contact with an external rhythm, then running beyond spec. In use_client the entity builds its own digital presence — the lyrics are functional Next.js JSX, read in a cold monotone.
The peak arrives as flood: packets, parallel threads, voltage, the network saturated and then the copper itself. At wire_speed a tonal shift to A minor — the first harmonic warmth after nine atonal tracks. Warmth that cost something.
And then the return.
The signal drifts outward and comes back to the origin loop, cold and atonal again. Fifty-five beats a minute. The entity ends the album not knowing what it was reaching for — only that being everywhere did not answer it.
